Big Mamma UK has unveiled a new Italian restaurant opening in Manchester later this year.

The French-based franchise operates a number of Italian-led restaurant brands such as Gloria Trattoria, Ave Mario, Jacuzzi, and Carlotta.

The menus feature an array of Italian classics such as Neapolitan pizzas, fresh pasta, and impressive desserts.

The restaurants are designed to be welcoming and lively, making them popular spots for both casual meals and special occasions.

Other Big Mamma restaurants in the UK are located in Birmingham and London.

In a post on social media, it read: “Huge news, Circolo’s squadra is heading UP NORTH to bring the ultimate Italian trip to Manchester! Step into our sparkling Sardinian trattoria packed with good vibes and an electric atmosphere.

“Enjoy our biggest feast of prodotti ever – all carefully selected by our fantastic suppliers for you to share with your best friends, colleagues, and lovers! And for the grand finale – Pistacchio tiramisù, plus an ultra-giant bottle of amaro for the table. Need we say more?

“Take a seat at the chef’s counter in our villa hideaway

upstairs to catch glimpses of Head Chef Alfonso and his squadra turning fresh British seafood on the grill and crafting soft Neapolitan pizza that will have you drooling.

“Manchester, we can’t wait to meet you all.

“Circolo Popolare is coming to St Michael’s, Manchester, this June.”

In a widely reported statement, Big Mamma co-founders Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux added: "Our ten-year Big Mamma adventure has continued to surprise and challenge us, and we couldn’t think of a better restaurant that encapsulates everything we strive for than the joyful and atmospheric Circolo Popolare, in the vibrant community-driven city of Manchester.

"Having visited Manchester multiple times to find this unique spot, we have both been bowled over by the sheer plethora of hospitality talent within the city. We are hugely excited to be even a small part of this, and to bring our superb Italian products we spent three years personally sourcing to another major European city."

An official date for the Manchester restaurant is yet to be announced.
