Fabulous Christmas gifts courtesy of Hospitality Action

The Staff Canteen
The tenth annual Hospitality Action (HA) Christmas online auction opened for bids at 10am on Monday 2nd December. Amongst the star lots are gifts which have been donated by The Dorchester Collection, The Connaught and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. Some 27 lots have been donated and hopes are high that a record sum will be raised for the charity.   Andrew Guy, Chief Executive of Ed’s Easy Diner, HA Trustee and prize donor, says: “I am delighted to support the bi-annual online auctions. They are great fun for all involved and always prove popular with Hospitality Action’s supporters. The industry is known for its competitive side and the last-minute bidding war tends to whip everyone into a shopping frenzy! The auction is a great way to avoid the crowds on the high street and enables participants to pick up bargains from fantastic establishments from the comfort of their own homes. Christmas can be a difficult time but Hospitality Action works hard to ease the burden faced by many.”   The lots on offer are sure to get everyone into the festive spirit, with a great selection of items up for grabs including:
  • A weekend break for two at the five star Hilton Berlin
  • An overnight stay for two in a deluxe room at The Connaught, London
  • Two VIP Champagne tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End
  • A selection of electronic goodies including a Kindle, a Samsung Tablet, an iPod and much more!
Bidding is sure to be competitive with such great lots on offer and early bidding is recommended to secure your prize – the auction will close at 2pm on Friday 6th December.  To take part visit www.32auctions.com/HospitalityAction_Auction and complete the simple registration process to shop to your heart’s content.   So far this year, HA’s charitable spend is up 44% compared to the same point in 2012, and 40% more applications for assistance have been processed. Over the past decade, the Hospitality Action online auctions have raised more than £65,000 and last Christmas the auction raised more than £4,000. To further support Hospitality Action, you can place an order for charity Christmas cards or e-cards, or take part in the exciting ‘12 days of Christmas’ campaign, launching on Thursday 5th December, which will give supporters the chance of winning a fantastic daily prize.
