The Staff Canteen

Michelin have released the ninth edition of the Michelin Guide New York with Gordon Ramsay at The London a high profile casualty.

The restaurant has been stripped of both its two stars amid speculation that it may close down. Elsewhere TriBeCa’s Jungsik is the only new restaurant to be upgraded to two-star status.

The Korean restaurant is now one of five in New York which boast two-stars alongside atera, Marea, Momofuku Ko and Soto. 55 restaurants have been awarded one-star recognition in this new edition which is an increase from the 52 last year. Seven have retained their three stars: Chef's at Brooklyn Fare, Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, Jean Georges, Le Bernardin, Masa and Per Se, bringing the combined total of Michelin recognised restaurants in New York to 67.
