Brian Danclair, Chef Owner of Danclairs Kitchen, is one of four chefs competing for London and South East region on Great British Menu 2023.

Series 18 of the competition starts on January 31 2023 on BBC Two at 8pm and will air for eight weeks.

Brian is going head to head with chefs Ferdinand Montoya, Avinash ‘Avi’ Shashidhara, Robbie Lorraine in a bid to represent London and the South East in the regional finals, and ultimately cook a dish at the final banquet.

This is Brian's first time competing in Great British Menu.

Biography

Brian Danclair is the Chef Owner of Danclairs Kitchen located in Brixton Village, London. 

Brian opened Danclair’s Kitchen in August 2021 to showcase the food he's cooked all over the world to the people of Brixton and London. The restaurant couples fine wines and signature cocktails with bold yet refined sharing plates.

Danclair's Kitchen is Brian's second restaurant, after opening Fish Wings and Tings in Brixton Village in 2012. 

Born in Trinidad, Brian moved to Washington DC at 19 where he worked in some of the busiest kitchens.

Brian moved to London in the 90s where he opened his catering business, preparing banquets for distinguished guests and celebrities, including the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, and premier league footballers.
