Lisa Goodwin-Allen to oversee new restaurant coming to Mayfair

Lisa Goodwin-Allen will oversee the menu at Pearl, a new standalone restaurant, terrace and garden from The Beaumont Mayfair, opening at Brown Hart Gardens this September.

The new Mayfair restaurant will take inspiration from Italy, Spain and Greece, with an all-day Mediterranean menu designed around European café culture, terrace dining and seasonal cocktails.

Set within Brown Hart Gardens, elevated above Duke Street, Pearl will be Lisa’s latest project with The Beaumont, following the launch of Rosi, where she was appointed culinary director earlier this year.

Pearl will open from early until late, serving morning coffee, pastries and breakfast dishes before moving into an à la carte menu of fresh, seasonal dishes.

The food will sit alongside seasonal cocktails, spritzes and wines, with the restaurant designed to offer a more relaxed, open-air style of dining in the centre of Mayfair.

The announcement described Pearl as a restaurant that will bring “relaxed elegance, vibrant flavours, and European café culture to Mayfair”.

The design has been led by EPR Architects, with the terrace forming a major part of the concept.

Inspired by Milanese piazzas and Riviera promenades, the terrace will extend into Brown Hart Gardens, one of Mayfair’s most distinctive raised public spaces.

The gardens themselves are also undergoing a transformation, with a new design by the late landscape architect and horticulturalist Nigel Dunnett set to be revealed alongside the restaurant.

Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s growing London role

For Lisa, Pearl adds another layer to an increasingly active London role.

Earlier this year, Lisa had been appointed culinary director at Rosi, The Beaumont’s modern British restaurant, working alongside executive chef Brendan Fyldes and executive head chef Jozef Rogulski.

At the time, Lisa said Rosi would be her “London home”, with a menu built around dishes people “really want to eat” and an atmosphere designed to feel inviting.

Pearl now extends that relationship with The Beaumont, but with a very different food identity.

Where Rosi focuses on British dining, Pearl will look south, drawing on the flavours and casual rhythm of Mediterranean restaurants, cafés and terraces.

Lisa’s continued work in London sits alongside her role at Northcote, where she returned as chef patron-director following the hotel’s acquisition by Silkstone Finance.

Northcote has long been one of the UK’s most recognised chef-led country house restaurants, with Lisa’s influence central to its reputation for seasonal, modern British cooking.

A Mayfair opening with terrace appeal

Pearl will enter a highly competitive Mayfair restaurant market, but the combination of Lisa’s profile, The Beaumont’s backing and the Brown Hart Gardens setting gives the project a clear point of difference.

Rather than a formal fine dining launch, the restaurant appears to be built around accessibility, all-day dining and the appeal of outdoor hospitality in one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.

Pearl is due to open in September 2026.
