Ben TishRestaurants launching mobile payments with Uncover, include Lima, Lima Floral, Salt Yard, Opera Tavern, Dehesa, Ember Yard, Opso, Comptoir Gascon, Salmontini and Chisou. After booking in just three taps, diners can now settle and split the bill with the swipe of a finger, considerably cutting down restaurant wait staff time and reducing the pain at the end of a great meal. Uncover will also allow customers to use mobile payments without having booked their table via the app opening up this feature to every guest in the restaurant. Ben Tish, executive chef for Salt Yard Group said: “The Uncover app is really a no brainer. On a consumer level- which I very much am- it allows spontaneity of which the social scene in London is very much about and also lets new customers try restaurants that they might not have bothered with. “From our point of view at the restaurant it obviously helps us fill those frustrating, last minute cancellation spaces that are inevitable and it introduces new customers to us (not just existing customers who know us), which is worth it weight in gold.

“We're now very excited to be a launch partner with Uncover on mobile payments. There can be so much friction around the end of meal payment experience for both the customer and the restaurant, that a great tool to ease that friction and allow us to make a great last impression on our customers is invaluable.”uncover Uncover has partnered with MyCheck, the mobile payment platform provider to bring mobile payments en masse to the London restaurant scene. The technology allows customers to pay for the entire bill amount or split the bill with others via PayPal or a registered card on a MyCheck account, without waiting for staff. In addition to the easy-to-use interface, a key benefit of partnering with MyCheck is the loyalty and rewards feature it offers. The app can also monitor user habits and in turn Uncover will be able to provide rich data insights into customer behaviours allowing restaurants to better target their customers based on their preferences.
