The National Restaurant Awards 2019 announced a new number 1 restaurant in the UK at it's annual awards held at The Hurlingham Club in London last night.

Taking the top spot was Mark Birchall's two Michelin-starred, Moor Hall and he was joined in the top three by Brat and Cornerstone.

Mark only opened Moor Hall two years but has already picked up two Michelin stars and 5 AA Rosettes. Last year’s winner Kiln is placed in this year’s ranking at 15th.

This year’s list sees the highest number of restaurants in the north of the UK, in total, 46 of the top 100 restaurants named in this year’s list are situated outside London – highlighting that Britain’s best dining establishments are increasingly spread throughout the country.
