Date confirmed as Michelin Guide 2026 ceremony heads to Dublin
The Michelin Guide has announced that its 2026 Great Britain & Ireland Ceremony will take place in Dublin - marking the first time the prestigious event has ever been hosted in Ireland.
Set for Monday, February 9, 2026, the ceremony will be held at the Convention Centre Dublin, where the Michelin stars, green stars, Bib Gourmands, and special awards will be revealed in front of chefs, restaurateurs, and industry guests from across the UK and Ireland.
“We are delighted to bring the Michelin Guide Ceremony to Dublin, a city whose energy and creativity mirror the vitality of the region’s gastronomy,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide.
“Hosting the event here highlights Ireland’s growing place on the culinary map and the excellence of chefs across Great Britain and Ireland. Dublin offers the perfect setting to celebrate the talent and passion that drive our industry forward.”

A milestone moment for Irish gastronomy
This will be the first time in history that the Michelin Guide Ceremony will take place in Ireland since the creation of the Great Britain & Ireland Guide. Previous editions have been held in London, including iconic venues such as The Midland Hotel and The Hurlingham Club, while last year it was held at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow.
By choosing Dublin for 2026, Michelin signals a new chapter for Ireland’s hospitality scene - one that has seen a remarkable rise in fine dining destinations and internationally recognised chefs.
Dublin's culinary reputation has grown rapidly in recent years, thanks to restaurants such as:
- Chapter One by Mickael Viljanen – Dublin’s celebrated two-star restaurant blending classic French precision with modern Irish ingredients.
- Liath, also in Dublin, which earned two stars under chef Damien Grey, known for his immersive, intimate dining experience.
- Restaurant Patrick
These restaurants — alongside a wave of ambitious one-star and green star venues across the country — reflect Ireland’s deep respect for provenance, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
