Nathan Outlaw will part company with the Capital hotel next year

The Staff Canteen

Nathan Outlaw has confirmed Outlaw's at the Capital will close on March 31 2019 after six years at the hotel.

Nathan,  who has three restaurants in Cornwall, including the two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac, and one in Dubai, is yet to reveal more details on his future plans in London.

Outlaw's at the Capital gained a Michelin star in the Michelin Guide UK 2014 under head chef Pete Biggs who was promoted to the new role of Executive Chef for the Outlaw’s restaurant group in 2016. He was replaced by Tom Brown who retained the star until his departure in 2017 to open his first solo venture, Cornerstone in Hackney Wick. The restaurant lost the accolade in the 2019 guide.

It has also won the Waitrose Good Food Guide award for ‘Best Value Set Lunch’ and featured on Masterchef in December 2014. In 2015 The Capital won the award of 'Best Culinary Hotel in The World' at the World Boutique Hotel Awards.

The hotel boasts a number of chef legends in it's culinary history including Eric Chavot, Phillip Britten and Brian Turner.

The family run hotel was sold by the Levins in January 2017 to the US-based Warwick Hotels and Resorts.
