Nick Bennett and Danilo Cortellini join forces for pop up dinner

Masterchef the Professionals contestants, Nick Bennett and Danilo Cortellini are to team up for an Anglo-Italian extravaganza at the 4hands Dinner Pop Up Dinner on the 20 May at Venturi’s Table in Clapham, London. nick & daniloGuests will enjoy a four course Italian style menu where they can choose from a Sicilian inspired Chef’s table seating up to 11 diners or a table in the kitchen view dining room that seats between 10 and 12 guests. For each ticket sold, £2 will go to the charity St Peter’s Project in London. Danilo Cortellini, Head Chef at the Italian Embassy in London said: “My team and I are both looking forward very much to this event. “I am proud to say that I’ll be the first to bring the talented Nick to the London scene, for a 4hands Dinner in between England and Italy. It will be a real treat for my guests! We have the amazing venue of Venturi’s Table, fun and great company, selected Italian wines and chefs cooking great food in front of you. What more could you ask for from a great social night?” Nick Bennett from restaurant 56 at Sudbury House Hotel is also looking forward to working with Danilo again saying, “I am extremely excited to be doing the 4hands Dinner pop up with my fellow MasterChef finalist Danilo Cortellini. It will be brilliant to showcase what I do at Restaurant 56 down in London. It will be even better as I am able to do so in front of the guests in the beautiful open kitchen at Venturi’s Table." Diners can choose from two sittings, one at 7pm or another at 9:15pm. The menu with wine pairing will include dishes such as Salmon Mi-Cuit, Braised veal cheeks  and Cherry and Pistachio cheesecake along with Canapés to start and ending with coffee and tea. Both chefs battled it out together on the BBC2 cooking competition, MasterChef: The Professionals in 2015.
