Nyetimber has been named Best Wine Supplier at the Members' Choice Awards 2026, a prestigious accolade voted for by hospitality professionals across the UK.

Winning the Best Wine Supplier category reflects Nyetimber's pioneering role in English sparkling wine and its long-standing commitment to producing world-class wines that are enjoyed in leading hospitality venues across the UK and internationally.

Pioneering English Sparkling Wine

For nearly 40 years, Nyetimber has pursued a single ambition: crafting exceptional English sparkling wine that rivals the very best in the world.

A true pioneer of the English wine industry, Nyetimber was the first producer of English sparkling wine to exclusively grow the three classic grape varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Every bottle is produced using 100% estate-grown grapes, reflecting the company's unwavering focus on quality and consistency.

A Legacy of Excellence

Since acquiring Nyetimber in 2006, Owner and CEO Eric Heerema has led the business with a vision to produce wines of extraordinary elegance and quality. Working alongside Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs and Senior Winemaker Brad Greatrix, the team has earned international recognition for its achievements.

Cherie Spriggs was named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in both 2018 and 2025, becoming the first person outside Champagne to receive the award and remaining the only woman to have achieved this honour.

In 2025, Nyetimber's Blanc de Blancs 2016 Magnum was awarded Champion Sparkling Wine at the International Wine Challenge, marking the first time in the competition's 34-year history that the title had been awarded to a wine produced outside Champagne.

Estate-Grown Quality

Nyetimber owns 11 vineyards spanning 425 hectares across West Sussex, Hampshire and Kent. Its wines are served in many of the UK's most renowned hospitality venues, including The Savoy, Scott's Mayfair, The Ivy Collection and Clifton House, as well as prestigious international destinations including The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Maaemo in Oslo, Frantzén in Stockholm, The Edition Tokyo and The Lana in Dubai.

Looking to the Future

In 2024, Nyetimber acquired The Lakes Distillery, bringing together two premium English drinks brands with a shared commitment to craftsmanship, quality and luxury. The acquisition marks an important chapter in the development of The Nyetimber Group as it continues its ambition to become a globally recognised English luxury drinks group.
