A pizza restaurant in Springtown, Texas has been temporarily shut down after a health inspection confirmed someone had put laxative powder in a pizza.

The three alleged perpetrators are said to have joked about the incident on social media; the unfortunate fourth subject of this story, their fellow coworker, is said to have become ill after eating the pizza in question.

The social media post  prompted  a customer to call the police and a health inspector’s subsequent

decision to withdraw the restaurant’s health permit and temporarily close the venue pending an investigation.

Laxatives were found in just one pizza, which the trio admitted to having put there, maintaining that they hadn’t done so in any customers’ food.

One of their colleagues did eat the pizza, however, and is said to have been ill as a result.

It is unclear whether the accused will face criminal charges, however the restaurant remains closed until further notice.
