Just days after lockdown was eased, three pubs in England have closed after customers test positive for Covid-19.

According to the Manchester Evening News, these pubs are The Lighthouse Kitchen & Carvery in Burnham-on-Sea, The Fox & Hounds, in Batley, West Yorkshire, and The Village Home Pub in Alverstoke, Hampshire.

After hundreds of pubs, bars and restaurants reopened on Saturday it is believed these three are the first in England to close. They now have to contact all customers.

Anyone who is contacted is advised to self-isolate for 14 days and get a test if they show any Covid-19 symptoms.

The Lighthouse had posted on its Facebook page a list of new rules that customers must stick to including all patrons must give their name and address to staff and sanitise before entering the building.

They announced they had been forced to close on the Facebook page saying: "This isn’t the message we wanted to write so soon but The Lighthouse will be closed due to a customer testing positive to Covid-19.

"We are slowly getting through our list of customers that were in the pub on Saturday.

"All our staff are going to be tested and we will reopen when the time is safe to do so. Thanks to all the positive phone calls."

The Fox & Hounds and The Village Home also announced they were closed via a Facebook post. today.
