Three stars for T’ang Court in Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2016

Michelin have today announced the star selections for the eighth edition of the Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2016, which is on sale tomorrow.
The guide features 78 Bib Gourmands and 77 starred restaurants, including: 3 stars: 8 restaurants, including 1 new restaurant 2 stars: 18 restaurants, including 4 new restaurants 1 star: 51 restaurants, including 11 new restaurants
In this edition, which pays tribute to local cuisine, saw Langham Hotel's T'ang Court restaurant gain three stars. "The Cantonese cuisine proposed by the chef draws from the best culinary traditions of the Tang Dynasty" said Michael Ellis, International Director of Michelin Guides. "The Cantonese cuisine is perfectly prepared with harmonious flavours and different textures bringing
depth and perfect balance on the palate. Every minute spent at T'ang Court plunges you into the golden age of Chinese history, making for a unique experience that is well worth the journey". Two restaurants in Hong Kong obtained two star status, Forum and Ming Court, which both serve local Cantonese cuisine. In Macau, two stars were also awarded to two restaurants, both located in the City of Dreams mall; French restaurant The Tasting Room and Cantonese restaurant Jade Dragon. 11 restaurants this year were awarded a Michelin star for the first time.
