Aiden Byrne invites top chefs to cook at Manchester House for one-off dinner

Michelin-starred chef, Tom Aikens will join former protégés Tom Sellers, Lee Westcott, Vicky Endersen, Dan Smith and Roger Hickman to cook a special charity dinner at fine-dining restaurant, Manchester House with Aiden Byrne. tom aikensThe evening will be held at the Manchester House hosted by head chef and the youngest ever recipient of a Michelin star, Aiden Byrne. The eight course dinner with wine pairing will take place on Wednesday, 9 March and costs £200 per person with most proceeds going towards the hospitality charity, Hospitality Action. Manchester House head chef Aiden Byrne, said: “I’m so pleased that everyone agreed to come and work with me on this special one-off occasion. We all know each other from working under Tom and it is so exciting for us to have all of his protégés cooking under one roof in the Manchester House kitchen, and I can think of no better cause to do this for than Hospitality Action. “I’ve been involved with Hospitality Action for some time and been fortunate to see the great support they provide to people who are struggling with something in their lives." A number of Manchester House’s local suppliers have helped towards the event, with Wellocks, MyFish and Ritter Fresh providing ingredients and Liberty Wines sponsoring the wine. David Walker, Chairman of Hospitality Action’s Northern board, said: “We are hugely grateful to Aiden for using his contacts to pull together what promises to be an unforgettable event for food lovers. It’s not often you get the opportunity to sample a meal cooked by seven separate chefs of such calibre, whilst at the same time raising much needed funds for charity.” Tom Aikens became the youngest British chef to maintain a 2* rating while head chef at Pied a Terre. In 2003 he launched Tom Aikens Restaurant in Chelsea, which has been followed by three UK branches of Tom’s Kitchen and another in Istanbul.manchester house He has since opened two restaurants in Hong Kong called The Pawn and Fat Pig, one in Dubai called Pots Pans and Boards, published three books and made several appearances on Television including Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen. Hospitality Action offers a crucial lifeline to people of all ages, working and retired, from the hospitality industry who find themselves in crisis.
