Tom Booton has announced multiple promotions after being appointed Executive Chef of The Grill at The Dorchester.

Tom, who made the news in 2019 after becoming the youngest head chef in The Grill at The Dorchester’s history, congratulated his colleagues for their hard work in a post on his Instagram.

Adam Nevin replaces Tom as the restaurant’s Head Chef after working at The Grill since 2019.

Congratulating Adam on his new position, Tom said: “Adam Nevin has been promoted to Head Chef! He has been my right-hand man for many years, and this is a huge, well-deserved promotion. It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow over the last 7 years and I couldn’t be any more proud of him!”

On top of Tom and Adam’s promotions, the new executive chef announced that Freddy Wilson has been promoted to Sous Chef within the restaurant.

Commenting Fred’s promotion to sous chef, Tom explained: “He has also been an enormous support for me over the last 6 years and this new role is very well deserved.”

Joshua Ausena and John Cain have also been promoted to Junior Sous chefs with Tom highlighting the massive support they offer to all the chefs in the kitchen.

Tom added: “I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow in their new positions.”
