One lucky staff Canteen member plus guest can win dinner for two (tasting menu) plus selected wines at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie. The prize also includes overnight accommodation at the world famous Gleneagles Hotel.

The accommodation is for two, with breakfast included! Andrew and a whole team of people are climbing mount Kilimanjaro in January in aid of HIT Scotland.

A journey up Kilimanjaro is tough enough. But we wanted to go further, to take Scottish hospitality to new heights and take a great a tradition to top of the world. In January 2011, 21 intrepid climbers will host the world's first Burn's Supper on top of Mount Kilimanjaro. This never before seen feat is all being done in aid of the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland. HIT Scotland is a Scottish based charity which raises funds to support & encourage excellence in the hospitality Industry. Its mission is "to assist people to achieve their potential within Scottish hospitality".

Of course there are a few outstanding questions, such as how many of us will succumb to altitude sickness, will our legs hold out and what will Africa think of haggis, neeps and tatties? You must donate to Andrew Fairlie, and you must be able to travel to and from the hotel under your own steam. The Staff Canteen nor the host will accept any travel cost or expenses The prize is as follows; Dinner for two (tasting menu) with wines plus overnight accommodation and breakfast is included. Any other expenses or sundries are to be settled by the winner before departure.

The prize is valid for 12-months and is to be taken subject to availablity of both Restaurant Andrew Fairlie and Gleneagles Hotel. All of the members, who have donated, posted a link to their donation and name will be entered into the live draw. All members will be placed into the hat and one lucky member will be drawn at random. Employees of Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, The Staff Canteen and Gleneagles are exempt from entering.
