We're excited to be taking a stellar line-up of chefs For The Staff Canteen Live At HRC with us on March 3rd, 4th and 5th - including Jason Atherton, Tom Kerridge, Angela HartnettSimon Hulstone and Michel Roux Jr

They will be on stage with a member of their team and cook for the live audience attending the event, showcasing emblematic dishes on the menu at their iconic restaurants. 

We know you can't contain your excitement, don't worry there are only a few more weeks to go but to keep you going until then our guest chefs will all be taking over our Instagram so you can ask them anything you want.

First up was Sally Abé, head chef at London's only Michelin-starred pub, The Harwood Arms, followed by trailblazing duo Sandia Chang and  James Knappett. Today, they were joined by chef Michel Roux Jr.

What is your favourite thing to cook at one of your restaurants?

Le Soufflé Suissesse!

Did you expect Emily to follow in your hospitality footsteps? 

Yes, Emily is the best chef in the family! 

In your eyes who is the best chef at this moment?

Steve Groves, head chef at Roux at Parliament Square, winner of the National Chef of the Year 2020!

 

What is your favourite wine?

So many to choose from!

What's your favourite comfort food?

I love my mum's tripe in tomato sauce.

Any projects for 2020?

I will be taking Le Gavroche to sea with Cunard. This will be a very special voyage and I can't wait to get on board the Queen Mary 2!

 

Where do you find your creativity to create new recipes? 

When I am running! 

When will we see you on TV? 

When this guy - Fred Sirieix - invites me!

What is the best advice I can give to my child who would love to be a chef?

Go to college to get a qualification, cook at home, practice makes perfect... And one day, win the Roux Scholarship!
