Chefs burger

A must in every chefs repetiore, utilise on a quiet day, with a grumbling stomach and too much time on your hands (err a bit like me now)

Ingredients

  • 1 large sesame bun
  • 1 burger (get the commis to make it, watch him though)
  • 1 spoon nice chutney (pinch it from the pastry fridge, they serve it with the cheese)
  • spoon ketchup
  • 1/4 avocado sliced
  • 2 rashers bacon (nicely grilled)
  • butter (for the bun)
  • 1 egg - fried
  • 1 thick slice cheese (again pinch from pastry, they've got the nice stuff)
  • 1 crisp lettuce leaf (1 of your 5 a day)

Method

Butter the bun and lightly toast
cook the burger to your preferred cuisson, or well done if not sure of the commis working practises
warm the bacon, not too much when its brown its crispy, when it's black its burnt
You did remember to watch the bun didn't you, if not toast another and this time keep an eye on it.
assemble to your preferred style, add or remove ingredients as you see fit. (me I dont have the lettuce, detracts from the quality of the meal)
make sure you have your apron on, it's going to get messy.
Enjoy.
