PROFESSIONALS AT PLAY ACQUIRES THIRD LONDON SITE FOR ROXY BALL ROOM

Professionals at Play has acquired a new site in London’s Old Street, with plans to open under the Roxy Ball Room concept in July 2026, as part of continued capital expansion

Professionals at Play has acquired an additional London site on Old Street, revealing plans to open an additional Roxy Ball Room site in the capital city, as part of the brand’s continued expansion. Due to open in July, the venue will become the brand’s second London site, with the previously announced Holborn site opening later in the year.

Formerly a Bounce site, the venue is located at 241 Old Street and spans approximately 13,500 sqft. The new venue will follow the successful launch of Roxy Ball Room’s flagship London site in St Mary Axe in 2025 and forms part of the group’s wider growth strategy for the capital.

The Old Street site will bring together a range of Roxy Ball Room’s signature competitive socialising concepts under one roof, including American Pool, Duck Pin Bowling, Tech Darts, Tech Shuffle, Karaoke and Basketball, alongside a central bar and food offering.

Founded by brothers Matt and Ben Jones in Leeds in 2013, Roxy Leisure now has a nationwide estate of 19 venues across its Roxy Ball Room and Roxy Lanes brands, which are all operated by umbrella company Professionals at Play. The business has continued to expand rapidly across major UK cities, with London identified as a key strategic market for future growth.

The acquisition of the former Bounce site further strengthens the group’s presence within London’s competitive socialising sector, with the group targeting high-footfall city locations that support both corporate and consumer leisure demand.

Ben Turnock, Managing Director at Professionals at Play, said: “London has been a key target market for the business, and the strong performance of our existing site has given us the confidence to accelerate our expansion plans in the capital.

“Old Street is a fantastic location and, alongside our St Mary Axe and Holborn sites, will ensure that Roxy Ball Room is present in some of London’s busiest areas. We’ve seen continued demand for competitive socialising experiences that combine gaming, food and drink in one destination, and we’re excited to bring the brand to another major London location in 2026.”
