Dan Doherty joins judging line up for TV's ‘Britain’s Best Cook’

⁣The judging line up for the BBC’s latest cookery show Britain’s Best Cook has been announced and will include Dan Doherty, chef director at the Duck and Waffle in London.

Dan will sit alongside much TV’s Mary Berry and Chris Bavin who has appeared on ‘The truth about meat’ and ‘Eat Well for Less’.

Dan’s restaurant Duck & Waffle is one of the city’s most celebrated eateries and Dan's menu offers a playful and innovative take on traditional British cuisine coupled with broad European influences emphasising local, rustic, seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

Dan says “Right now British cuisine is more exciting and diverse than ever - we’re a nation of home cooks with different influences and hidden talents. In the competition, I’m looking to discover which of our competing cooks has the technical ability and creative skill to deliver inspiring and inventive dishes. It’s a pleasure to be judging alongside Mary & Chris, and I can’t wait to taste what our cooks come up with.”

‘Britain’s Best Cook’ is a brand-new cookery competition which celebrates truly exceptional home cooks. It will be presented by Claudia Winkleman and is scheduled for broadcast later this year.
