Calling all aspiring chefs! On 10th August 2018, Michelin-starred chef and TV personality Tom Kerridge is launching a competition to find undiscovered cooking talent in the North of England.
Pub in the Park are on the lookout for a culinary superstar between the ages of ten and sixteen to join the line-up of nationally-famous chefs at Tom Kerridge’s food and music festival Pub in the Park Knutsford.
Tom’s chosen winner will get the chance to cook live on stage with Tom Kerridge himself as well as winning four tickets to the festival to share their moment in the spotlight with friends and family. Signed copies of Tom’s latest book will also be up for grabs for the two runners up.
Do you have a signature dish to show off? If so, we want to hear from you! It can be anything from an epic sundae, to a rich risotto or a gourmet toastie to something never even heard of before – just as long as it’s unique.
To enter, candidates need to submit a video to [email protected] that is around one minute long introducing yourself, your dish, why you would like to win and footage of the finished product. The competition will be open for entries from 9:00 on 10th August and will close on 23:59 on 20th August.
Taking place at The Lambing Shed from 7th to the 9th of September, Pub in the Park Knutsford recently released its amazing line-up of the UK’s best culinary and music talent. Expect to see Razorlight, Melanie C, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Toploader, Squeeze, Scouting For Girls and Tom Odell taking to the stage, and superstar chefs Josh Eggleton, Andrew Pern, Tom Richards, Candice Brown and Tom himself cooking up a storm. Tom and his fellow chef mates will be bringing a selection of top pubs and restaurants to serve their own versions of the best pub grub the UK has to offer, for just £5 a dish.
