Adam Stokes will be at The Staff Canteen Live

Adam Stokes will be joining us for The Staff Canteen Live at The Hospitality Show in Birmingham, performing on Monday, January 19 at 11:30.

Chef Patron of Adam’s, one Michelin star

Adam Stokes is chef patron of his restaurant Adam’s in Birmingham. The restaurant, a former sandwich shop, opened in spring 2013 after a three month conversion. After less than six months the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. At the beginning of 2014 it won three AA Rosettes. Adam became interested in cooking because of his father, who had an allotment and would cook freshly grown food. After training at Stamford College, he learnt how to cook at Aaron Patterson’s Hambleton Hall in Rutland, at which he spent seven years. He then became head chef at the Glenapp hotel in 2008 at just 27. Three years later the restaurant won a Michelin star. It also earned four AA Rosettes during his time there. Adam describes his food as Modern British. Adam’s cooking takes familiar marriages of ingredients, but puts them together in an unfamiliar, interesting way.
