Britain's Best Restaurant Has No Michelin Star: Bouchon Racine's Most Demanded Dessert in London

Henry Harris closed Racine, one of London's most loved French restaurants, in 2015. A decade later, above a pub in Farringdon, he and Dave Strauss built Bouchon Racine — named the National Restaurant Awards' number-one restaurant in 2026.

Henry takes us into the five-chef kitchen: calves' brains in black butter and capers, his mother's chicken liver pâté, and the crème caramel diners fly in for. No Michelin star, no PR machine — just classical French cooking, done properly, above The Three Compasses.
