Consistent build quality starts with more than just strong processes. Across manufacturing, regular skills refreshers, reinforced standards and shared learning all play a vital role in maintaining quality at every stage of production. At Foster Refrigerator and Gamko, this is supported through an Operator Quality Training programme delivered across all manufacturing plants. The programme is designed to strengthen understanding of quality standards while creating space for operators to ask questions, discuss challenges and share knowledge across the production process. As Adam Randall, Plant Manager, explains: “Operators have become far more confident asking questions and learning through the refresher training.” Encouraging open discussion helps identify potential issues earlier and supports greater consistency in how products are built across sites. That consistency plays a direct role in long-term product performance, helping ensure refrigeration equipment can withstand the demands of busy commercial kitchens where reliability is critical and downtime is not an option. “Every set of trained eyes is another opportunity to quality check.” Adam Randall, Plant Manager By reinforcing quality at every stage of manufacture, the programme helps support dependable performance, long-term value and confidence that equipment is built to perform in service.
