This Tiny Village Is Home to One of the UK’s BEST Restaurants The MICHELIN STAR Mýse

Tucked away in a tiny Yorkshire village, Myse is one of the UK’s most exciting Michelin-starred restaurants. Led by Chef Joshua Overington, Myse is redefining British fine dining with a hyper-seasonal, local approach.

In this video, Joshua prepares a stunning Woodland Pork dish cooked over coals, served with radicchio dressed in Earl Grey and a rich black pudding sauce. He also shares his unique dessert: Jerusalem Artichoke Ice Cream, using crisps made from artichoke skins and syrup tapped from local birch trees.

Myse isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a deep connection to place, season, and craft.

Small Contribution. Big Impact.

The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.

We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.

A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
