Essential Cuisine will be proudly sponsoring Wadworth Brewery in their annual Pie Competition once again this year. The brewery is on the hunt for an award winning pie created amongst chefs from each dining pub, who will produce their own unique savoury treat.
We are happy to announce… the pie entries are officially in! Amongst the tough competition there will be the imaginatively named ‘Drunken Countryman’ from the Fleet Inn Brewery which will be made up of game, port & juniper berry. Another tough contender will be cooking up ‘The Legend’ which will consist of lamb, mushroom and parsnip. There will be plenty more unique and tasty pies being produced in order for each chef to have a chance of winning.
The winner will receive an I.O.Shen Mastergrade 3 Knife Gift Set, which includes a Chef Knife, a Sahm Khom Knife and Pointed Paring Knife courtesy of Essential Cuisine. However, we will also be giving all four finalists; a personalised chef jacket, apron, oven cloth, skull cap and a bottle of Prosecco! Additionally, the winner will receive a £300 cash prize and the winning pie recipe will be produced by Pieminster and listed on all Wadworth food menus. With prizes this good it’s clear to see why everyone wants a slice of the competition.
