Claude Bosi is to close two-Michelin-starred Brooklands by Claude Bosi at The Peninsula London as he prepares to return to Michelin House, the former home of his Bibendum restaurant, in spring 2027.

The rooftop restaurant will close in the coming months, a little over three years after it opened.

Claude shared the news in a post via his Instagram on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Claude said: "I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Brooklands.

"Lucy and I are now looking forward to the next chapter, building on Josephine and bringing Michelin House to life."

Back to Michelin House

The move takes Claude back to the Fulham Road building he left just over a year ago.

Claude Bosi at Bibendum, which he opened with his wife and business partner Lucy on the first floor of Michelin House in 2017, won two Michelin stars within six months and held them until it stopped trading suddenly on Monday, August 25, 2025. The ground-floor Oyster Bar followed after service on Sunday, August 31.

At the time, the couple said they had been unable to reach a resolution with their partners and landlords that would allow Michelin House to move into its next chapter.

No details have yet been shared on what has changed since, what form the new Michelin House project will take, or who will lead its kitchen.

Three years at The Peninsula

Brooklands opened on the rooftop of The Peninsula London at Hyde Park Corner in October 2023 and was awarded two Michelin stars around four months later, in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2024. It has held them since, pairing British produce with classic French technique in a dining room inspired by Concorde.

Claude's long-time collaborator Francesco Dibenedetto ran the kitchen from opening as chef de cuisine, later becoming executive chef, before leaving in November 2025.

He rejoined the group as culinary director in September, with Claude describing him at the time as "the driving force behind our success at Brooklands by Claude Bosi, earning us two Michelin stars in record time."

Day to day, the Brooklands kitchen is run by head chef Jonathan Ferguson, who joined in April from Thomas Keller's three-Michelin-starred The French Laundry in California, where he spent two years as sous chef.

A former Restaurant Andrew Fairlie chef and the 2022 Roux Scholar, Jonathan was recommended for his first head chef role by the group's then culinary director, André Garrett, who joined Claude in July 2025 from Corinthia London.

It has been reported there will be opportunities avaialble at Claude and Lucy's other restaurants for the current team at Brooklands.

The next chapter

Alongside Michelin House, Claude and Lucy will continue to build on Josephine, their Lyonnaise-inspired restaurant group, which has sites in Chelsea and Marylebone.

When Francesco returned in September, Claude said he would be working on "existing projects and exciting new ventures". With Michelin House now confirmed, the shape of the group's next chapter is becoming clearer.

Born in Lyon, Claude made his name at Hibiscus, which he moved from Ludlow to Mayfair in 2007 and where he held two Michelin stars, before taking on Bibendum in 2017. Returning to Michelin House means he is going back to the building where he won two stars in record time once before.
