Craft Guild masterclass launched at Hotel and Catering Show 2015

Visitors will have the opportunity to get creative at this year’s Hotel and Catering Show alongside top regional chefs in a hands-on masterclass. Dan MoonThe show is set to be even more interactive this year, as leading chefs launch the new feature Craft Guild of Chefs Skills Master Class. The line-up of professionals includes multi-award winning James Golding of The Pig Hotels, Gary Richmond from the widely acclaimed River Cottage Chef School in Devon, Russell Brown from the Michelin-starred Sienna Restaurant in Dorset and Dan Moon at Ston Easton Park Hotel in Somerset. Martin Bates, Chief Executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs said: “There are some great chefs lined up to inspire visitors and the opportunity to have practical hands on experience should not be under-estimated. Working together with the chefs, the Hotel and Catering Show and its visitors will be a significant calendar event for us during our 50th anniversary year.” This year also sees the return of the Artisan Producers’ Market, where chefs from Dorset and Hampshire will run workshops and demonstrations.Russell Brown 1 small In addition, top regional companies including New Forest Ice Cream, Essential Cuisine, Continental Bakeries Ltd, Purbeck Cider Brewery, Western Marquees and many more will also be attending. All live events will be running at regular intervals over the two-day show. Managing Director of Evisstar, Richard Joslin, who organises the show said: “The Craft Guild Master Classes are the perfect way for aspiring chefs to rub shoulders with some of the region’s most celebrated chefs and be able to take away practical skills to influence their own menus.” The Hotel and Catering Show 2015 will take place at the Bournemouth International Centre on  March 17-18. Over 90% of its trade visitors come from the local region and include independent hotels, cafés, restaurants, pubs and delis.
