Michael Caines' Harbourside Refuge announces permanent closure
Michael Caines' Cornish Harbourside Refuge restaurant and bar has ceased trading after opening in August 2020.
The Habourside Refuge restaurant has been closed since August 1st, with the restaurant recently confirming on social media that this would a permanent decision.
Initially, the restaurant had been temporarily closed during the preceding winter due to a combination of challenges including escalating fuel costs, staff shortages, and difficulties in sourcing ingredients.
The statement on the restaurant's social media said: "Due to the economic climate and the on-going challenges that are facing the hospitality industry as a whole it has been a difficult decision and with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to close," a statement on Harbourside Refuge's website said."
