Brighton's contemporary British restaurant Isaac At has announced it will close its doors on 26 August after more than eight years of business.

Confirming the news on Instagram, Isaac Bartlett-Copeland expressed gratitude for the team's journey and excitement for new beginnings.

The statement on the restaurant's Instagram said: "Isaac At has been so much more than just a restaurant to us, it’s been about the people that have dined with us and all the incredible things that have happened here. From all the anniversaries and birthdays to proposals and even a few weddings."

It added: "We have been blessed with the most incredible guests, in the most incredible city! And not to mention all the amazingly passionate suppliers and producers that have inspired us and grown with us along the way."

In the final weeks leading up to the closure, the restaurant will offer a "Best of Isaac At" menu, featuring beloved dishes that have delighted diners throughout the years.

Isaac has invited both newcomers and loyal patrons to share their recommendations for the menu, demonstrating the restaurant's commitment to involving its community.

The restaurant added: "It would be lovely to see you in the restaurant over the next few months so book yourself a table and it will be our pleasure to serve you all one last time."

Isaac At was recognized in the Michelin Guide for its understated modern style, characterised by a subtle Scandinavian influence.

The closure of Isaac At does not mark the end of Isaac's culinary endeavors, with the chef continuing to work with chef Dave Marrow on the pair's Embers Brighton, which opened in April earlier this year.
