Ruth Hinks encourages the nation’s chefs to download her chocolate brownie recipe and help raise money for Marie Curie.

The Staff Canteen

In association with global sink and tap specialist Franke, UK World Chocolate Master Ruth Hinks is spearheading a nationwide campaign to raise money for Marie Curie.

As part of the campaign, Ruth has published her favourite chocolate brownie recipe, which is now available to download from www.franke.co.uk/charity in return for an online donation to Marie Curie.  There is also an accompanying instructional video from Ruth herself that gives a step-by-step guide full of hints and tips for a successful bake.

Chefs across the

country are being urged by Staff Canteen to donate and download Ruth’s brownie recipe to help raise vital funds for Marie Curie.

After donating, there is a chance for anyone to win a prize by uploading a photo of themselves with an inspirational message for Marie Curie, to the Franke Facebook page at Facebook.com/FrankeUK or on Twitter @FrankeUK @Ruth_Hinks using the hashtag #BloomingGreat

Last year, the Blooming Great Tea Party campaign raised more than £650,000 which funded 32,500 hours of vital nursing care.

Small Contribution. Big Impact.

The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.

We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.

A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.
