7H0A0304Stoke Place, a modern day country house located in Buckinghamshire, has a new restaurant. Seasons at Stoke Place is led by chef James Dugan and offers seasonal, modern British cooking. James has experience at a number of Michelin-starred establishments, including the Four Seasons Hotel in London, 36 on the Quay in Hampshire and Lindsay House in London with Richard Corrigan. He has also worked with John Burton Race at The Landmark, London, Amberley Castle in Sussex and most recently at Hotel Café Royal on London’s Regent Street. For mains, dishes such as Roast Partridge, Heritage Beef Fillet and Tea Smoked Monkfish are on offer. A seven-course tasting menu is also available, showcasing James’ creativity. The bar menu, meanwhile, offers a light bite for those who don’t necessarily want the full dining 7H0A0512experience. Dishes include home versions of Scotch Egg and Sausage Roll as well as a traditional Cotswold Chicken Caesar Salad. In the drinks category, the restaurants’ wine cellar showcases some of the finest wines from around the world and has been recognised as an AA notable wine list for the past three years. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, which is a Grade II listed building, Seasons at Stoke Place seats 50 people, and offers views of the surrounding 26 acres of parkland. James has also made the most of the rural location by seeding a Kitchen Garden that will be in full bloom next spring. Seasons at Stoke Place is open now.
