Craft Guild Awards 2016 sees our young chef winner claim another victory

The 1st of June saw one of the industry’s biggest event take place; The Craft Guild of Chef Awards.

The glittering, black-tie event was held at the Lancaster London and was attended by 780 chefs and industry observers.

The North West Young Chef Winner from 2015, Arthur Quin, was presented with the prestigious “Young Chef” award.

The competition sponsored by Essential Cuisine, aims to discover young talent in the region, and this proves we certainly did that.

Essential Cuisine sponsored the Banqueting and Event Chef Award, which was won by James Buckley representing Levy Restaurants.

David Mulcahy, the awards organiser and vice-president of the Craft Guild of Chefs spoke about the event.

“This year’s awards truly demonstrate the breadth of talent which exists across all sectors of the catering and hospitality industry. The event is now in its 23rd year and it’s exciting to see it going from strength to strength. Our shortlist and winners demonstrate the fantastic talent coming through.”

Our congratulations go to James, Arthur, and all the other runners and riders.
