Leading British commercial catering design and installation company KCCJ Ltd celebrates 20 years of success

Last month, Kent based commercial kitchen design, installation and supply company KCCJ Ltd celebrated its 20th anniversary. Founded in 1998, KCCJ has grown to become one of the UK’s leading commercial kitchen design, supply and installation companies.

Today KCCJ is an industry leader in the competitive commercial kitchen marketplace. With a staff of 30 people, KCCJ is a prominent UK specialist with expertise in all food service sectors, including schools, hospitals, hotels and restaurants. In addition, KCCJ has earned a well-deserved reputation for its success in delivering large scale stadium catering projects including O2 Arena, Arsenal Emirates Stadium and Amex Stadium Brighton.

Currently working on the new Tottenham FC stadium, its largest contract to date, KCCJ’s capabilities include the latest technology in CAD design and 3D modelling, full on-site co-ordination, class-leading build and fit-out and unrivalled industry experience.

Commenting on KCCJ’s 20th anniversary, founder and Managing Director Kevin Slatter, said: “I’m incredibly proud of all the team at KCCJ, over the last two decades we’ve grown from a company of just 11 people to a diverse team of 30, and throughout our growth we’ve always worked hard to deliver a personal and tailored service to all our customers, whether they are a multi-million pound stadium development or a local independent restaurant. I’m delighted that we have clients today that have been with us since the start and we also pride ourselves on maintaining trusted relationships with our suppliers.”

Adding, “the last twenty years have flown past but we’ve never stood still, whether it’s adapting to the changes in our industry, investing in the right people or ensuring KCCJ works with the latest technology we’ve always been a company that moves with the times, but we’ve never forgotten our ethos of putting the customer first. Personally, I’ve taken huge pleasure in seeing some of our most challenging jobs come to fruition, and we’ve always been a company that’s not afraid of some good old-fashioned hard graft to deliver a successful project, and that’s as true today as it was twenty years ago”.

With offices in Dartford and Rochester, KCCJ has expertise in concept design and development, equipment procurement, plus construction and installation, the Kent based company also works with certain clients on specialist services such as beer delivery systems, menu development and lightwares packages.

“KCCJ has evolved in recent years, moving into new areas to deliver a turn-key solution for our customers, we now have a full in-house construction team that can provide a comprehensive fit-out service, while our CAD technology can allow customers to see 3D models and realistic virtual walk through of the full catering spectrum from front of house to kitchen”, commented Kerry Slatter, Commercial Director, KCCJ Ltd.

With a busy few months ahead that will see the completion of the Tottenham FC stadium project, KCCJ is currently working on more than 20 projects and is looking forward to another successful year. “the catering industry is always challenging and will undoubtedly be effected by potential economic, regulatory and trade uncertainties, but I’m very confident that KCCJ will continue to grow and build on the success of the last twenty years”, commented Kevin Slatter, Managing Director KCCJ Ltd.

Adding, “I’ve loved running this business for the last two decades, I’d like to thank all the team members, clients and suppliers who’ve been part of our success, but I’m even more excited about the future, here’s to the next twenty years of KCCJ..”
