Slow Food Industry Day

One of the great pleasures of working with Slow Food is travelling the breadth of UK; meeting consumers, producers and hospitality professionals.

There is something that really keeps you on your toes standing before one hundred people (often more), taking questions from an audience on anything from post-Brexit trade, why the hospitality business doesn’t use more genuinely local food, to even the odd recipe idea or ingredient use (Don’t throw away parmesan rinds – freeze them and use them as cheese stock cubes for risottos and soups, once done, wipe them, refreeze, and repeat up to six times)
It’s very exciting therefore that Slow Food has launched its own trade conference Conversations, at Hampton Manor, in the very heart of England.

We will have speakers speaking about our various programs such as the Ark of Taste, and hear from industry leaders about sustainability issues and solutions, before ending the day with a BBQ.
