Sopwell House appoints Aurore Lagabec as Restaurant & Cocktail Bar Manager

Sopwell House in St Albans, one of the UK’s most prestigious country house estates, has appointed Aurore Lagabec as Restaurant & Cocktail Bar Manager.

In her exciting new role, Aurore will oversee the hotel’s 2AA Rosette restaurant, and the elegant cocktail lounge, which look out on 12-acres of beautiful gardens.

Aurore arrived in London from Brittany in 2000, starting her career at Gordon Ramsay’s eponymous 3 Michelin-starred restaurant on Royal Hospital Road. She worked alongside many industry greats, including Ramsay himself and Marcus Wareing. During her five formative years at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, she progressed from Hostess, to Reception & Reservations Manager, to Guest Relations Manager.

She then worked for Tom Aikens and Restaurateur Marlon Abela, which enabled her to further expand her Front of House skills. In 2014, Aurore became Restaurant Manager of Pascal Aussignac’s prestigious Club Gascon in Smithfield’s London where she gained invaluable experience.

Aurore brings 17 years of experience to Sopwell House, priding herself on looking after and bringing joy to her guests. She is looking forward to sharing her experience and knowledge with the hotel’s passionate team.
