Sweeten Your Sides with New Sweet Potato Diced

With the consumer demand for sweet potato showing no sign of fading, and increased pressure for operators to switch up their sides and offer customers something different, Aviko is bringing a new product to the table – Sweet Potato Diced.

Perfect as an accompaniment to a main course such as a roast, burger or steak, or as an addition to light bite menus, the vibrant and versatile cubes of sweet potato can also enhance a range of dishes as an ingredient, in salads and wraps, as well as curries and stews.

Mohammed Essa, General Manager UK and Ireland, Aviko, comments: “Operationally, our new Sweet Potato Diced works hard across menus thanks to its versatility and the ability to use it as a side or as an ingredient. It also answers consumer and operator desire for new and exciting sides – standard options just won’t cut it anymore.

“We’ve seen sweet potato grow in popularity out-of-home in recent years – as demonstrated by the success of our Sweet Potato Fries – and our new Sweet Potato Diced not only helps operators meet this demand but also add value to their menus by offering a premium product with a real point of difference.”

Aviko’s new Sweet Potato Diced benefits from a unique steaming process to retain the natural goodness and taste of the sweet potatoes, as well as a distinct rice flour coating to deliver an added crunch. Plus, they’re gluten-free, catering for the 59% of people that want to see more coeliac friendly options on menus*.

Developed for convenience, Sweet Potato Diced can be cooked to order quickly from frozen, supporting busy operators with minimal wastage. They’re available in 5 x 2.27kg cases, with a shelf life of 18 months, and can be prepared in the fryer or oven.

Dedicated to foodservice and one of the biggest potato processors in the world, Aviko offers a range of chilled and frozen potato specialities made by chefs, for chefs, from morning favourites such as Hash Browns and innovative Hash Brown Bites, through to Premium Fries, Mash and much more.
