On the 10th June, a team of highly experienced, intrepid explorers will be embarking on an epic expedition. They will face challenges, there will be tears and there will be pain!
Okay, so it’s Snowdon not Everest, but for a mainly office based team, the biggest climbing challenge most of us have faced is the stairs to the second floor (and some of us require oxygen if we do that too quickly)!
So why would we put ourselves through this? Well, there is a fabulous charity in Winsford called St Luke’s Hospice. St Luke’s give care to adults living in central and southern Cheshire who are suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses. They provide and facilitate the provision of outstanding supportive, palliative and end of life care. All the money raised by Team Essential will go to support this fantastic charity organisation.
22 members of Team Essential are in training, and some can jog up the stairs already, but we have a long road ahead of us. Essential Cuisine will be matching every penny raised by each of the climbers, so hopefully we can make a great difference to people’s lives at a very difficult time.
Some of the team have Just Giving accounts set up for the event, so please consider supporting this amazing cause by sponsoring one of the team; Heather, Sian, Wendy, Neil, Ben, Karim, Harry, Amanda & Moe, Dawn, Sam, Emma, Darren.
Must get back to that training…………………….
