Tom Sellers collaborates with Michelin star chef Michael O'Hare at Restaurant Story

Following the success of ‘Kitchen Stories’ with Tom Aikens last month, chefs Tom Sellers and Michael O’Hare will co-host two days of special lunch and dinner menus at Restaurant Story on 25 and 26 May 2017. The event will be called “Story Behind The Curtain”, and will showcase the individual cooking styles of both chefs, with the menus featuring many of their creative signature dishes.

The lunch menu will be £90 per person (an additional £65 for drinks pairings) and £150 per person for dinner (£80 for matching drinks), including a welcome cocktail by Matt Whiley, aka Talented Mr Fox who oversees the cocktail lists at both Restaurant Story, and O’Hare’s latest restaurant, The Rabbit in the Moon in Manchester. The lunch menu will include seven courses (three from each chef, plus snacks), and dinner will consist of nine courses (four from each chef, plus snacks).

Both chefs worked separately at Noma in Copenhagen and are known for their innovative and distinctive cooking styles.

Restaurant Story was awarded a Michelin star just five months after opening in April 2013 when Tom was just 26 years old. It has continued to garner accolades, including five rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide 2017.

Michael O’Hare is chef-patron at Michelin-starred The Man Behind the Curtain in Leeds, and is creative director for The Rabbit in the Moon at the National Football Museum in Manchester which opened in January 2017.

Tom Sellers commented: “It’s a real pleasure to bring such an exciting chef to London and I can’t wait to welcome Michael into the Story kitchen.”

Michael O’Hare added: “I am very excited to be cooking Man Behind The Curtain food in London for the first time, and to be doing so alongside a chef like Tom, who is an incredible young, driven talent. It’s nothing short of an honour, and in my opinion, Restaurant Story and The Man Behind the Curtain are two of the most interesting restaurants in the UK at the moment - so those who get tickets will be in for a treat.”
