With summer on the horizon and all the great events taking place during the season, Delice de France, talks about new products the new catalogue, plus what’s blending and shaking this summer.
New catalogue

What a great summer we have ahead of us this year commented Brand & Communication Manager Paul Whitely. With Wimbledon, the World Cup and Notting Hill Carnival being just some of the big events on the horizon it is important that we are prepared and ready to support our customers and their businesses. The team at Delice de France & Coup de Pates have worked tirelessly this winter to bring a fresh look and feel to its new catalogue, with enticing new products in time for the Spring & Summer of 2014.

The new look catalogue continues to strengthen the partnership of Delice de France & Coup de Pates. Taking on-board its principles and culinary guidelines, it stands out from the crowd. A customer focused approach to has helped move the previous Delice de France catalogue to a new look and refreshing feel. With clear tabs per section, softer tones, clear concise information and the inclusion of pricing per product – a bold move to a more transparent and open catalogue has started.

New Exciting Products
Another indication that Delice de France is aligning with sister company Coup de Pates can be found within the product portfolio. With 52 New and exciting products added to the range across the seven categories, there is a lot to discover. All the Coup de Pates products are developed in house by seasoned chefs to exclusive recipes and to the highest quality. It explains why they are earning distinct accolades in France. Most recently, the Salted Caramel Macaroons and Beurre d’Isigny Puff Pastry Sheets won awards at the Saveurs de l’Année, a distinguished French consumer taste panel. More recently Delice won awards for their Hand-held Pizza’s at the Essential Café Awards this year and are set to impress with more potential award winning products this year.

Being recognised in the industry for having some of the best and most innovative products in Bakery, Delice kick on with the introduction of its New Gluten Free Burger Bun and Jalapeno Chilli & Cheddar Speciality Loaf.
Keep the Croffins coming! A brilliant fuse of croissant, muffin and chocolate will tempt a few, whilst the 7.5cm disc of Chocolate or Vanilla Macaroon Shell gives coffee shops an opportunity to deliver the little French classic with their own fillings.

A winning blend
This summer also sees Delice de France launch an exciting new range of beverage concepts in association with ProJuice. Annual sales of Smoothies and juice are now at £1.5bn, that’s up 2.1% from the previous year and despite some sensationalist headlines, experts foresee the industry continuing to grow up to 23.1% by 2016 to a total of 64 million litres. With new government guidelines advising that the nation consumes seven fruit or vegetable portions per day, real fruit Smoothies are predicted to be seen as an easy and delicious method to send you on the way to your daily goal.

With more and more American style diners and burger bars opening in the UK every year, (Ed’s Easy Diner named fastest growing restaurant group: 2014 Zolfo Cooper Profit Tracker) shakes and frappes are set to rise in popularity. Shakes can be made with various bases and flavours, from healthy to indulgent, and additionally be tailored to consumers’ needs with add-ins such as coffee, muesli, alcohol or your favourite chocolate bar.
