Go Wild for Tiger Fries with free POS
Potato specialist Aviko has created a range of free point-of-sale material to help operators capture the profitable family pound by promoting its exciting Tiger Fries concept for kids.
The colourful downloadable flyers, posters and tent cards will encourage chip-loving kids – who eat with their eyes – to sample the healthier option of Aviko’s Sweet Potato Fries by mixing the vivid orange-fleshed tubers with the more familiar colour of Aviko’s premium Skin-On Superlong fries.
Adding to the sense of fun, the kit also includes a feline-themed spot-the-difference puzzle to entertain children while they dine – and potentially prolong their family’s stay, leading to add-on sales.
Research from The School Food Trust found that 87% of parents would like to see healthier children’s menus, while 88% of respondents to consumer research conducted by Aviko perceived Sweet Potato Fries to be a healthier menu option, with a further 76% seeing them as an ideal choice for children.
Sweet Potato Fries contain twice the fibre of regular spuds and are high in potassium, while their natural sweetness will satisfy youngsters’ taste buds. Aviko’s holistic steam blanching production helps retain taste, crispiness and colour. Because of the innovative production process, the Sweet Potato Fries also don’t contain any genetically modified organisms (GMO) and are gluten-free.
Commenting on the new downloadable kits, Aviko General Manager, Mohammed Essa, said:
“Tighter budgets means the market for the family pound is more competitive than ever. When families eat out, they regard it as a treat – and the decision of where they eat is often dictated by the needs of their children. Successfully catering for families can lead to incremental impulse sales of drinks and desserts – our Tiger Fries concept helps caterers make money by promoting premium sides with a point of difference, that really appeals to kids and most significantly command a higher price point.”
