Basque Culinary World Prize 2021 Nominations Now Open

Professionals and institutions within the gastronomic sector are invited to nominate chefs who have had a transformative impact in areas ranging from innovation and technology to education and the environment, from health to social and economic development for the €100k prize.

Nominations must be made through the Basque Culinary World Prize website: www.basqueculinaryworldprize.com.

For five years, the Basque Culinary World Prize has sparked a global conversation about the important role of gastronomy in furthering social change.

Last year, the prize emphasised the role that chefs can play in helping to combat the devastating effects of the Coronavirus pandemic and was awarded to José Andres.

About 500 chefs representing 42 different nationalities have been nominated to date. This year’s nomination period runs until May 31, 2021.
