Cash In Your Chips at Casual Dining Show [Stand M146]

The Aviko Diner will once again be open for business at the Casual Dining Show (24th – 25th February 2016, Business Design Centre, London) offering visitors the chance to sample the potato expert’s extensive range of Premium Fries, and the opportunity to win big with its ‘Cash In Your Chips’ on-stand competition.

Visitors to stand M146 will have the chance to win either an iPhone 6, a Fitbit watch or a laptop during the show, with one of each to give away. Aviko’s stand will feature a bowl filled with coded poker chips – chefs, operators and caterers simply have to take one of these chips and enter the code online to be in with a chance to win.

Working in conjunction with seasoning specialist McCormick, the stand activity is part of a wider ‘Cash In Your Chips’ campaign, highlighting the profit opportunities for caterers that trade up their standard chips to Aviko’s Premium Fries with McCormick’s Chip Seasoning.

Mohammed Essa , General Manager UK and Ireland, Aviko comments: “With fries accounting for a massive 73% of the servings of potato products in the foodservice market*, it really is time to cash in your chips! Trading up standard options to our premium variations is a sure fire way for operators to increase profits – even more so by adding chip seasoning. We’re looking forward to meeting operators at Casual Dining Show and taking them through the opportunities available to them, as well as giving them the chance to win one of three huge prizes!”

In addition, the potato product’s supplier will be sampling Supercrunch, Superlong and Sweet Potato Fries – all part of its Premium Fries range – highlighting why they are essential side options for casual dining operators across the UK.

Mohammed continues: “Our Premium Fries have been developed to provide a variety of chips to meet operational needs and offer consumers tempting variations on the humble chip – from plate fill to holding time, we’ve got it covered. Operators can also be assured they are coeliac friendly and prepared in a dedicated gluten-free factory. Come over to stand M146 to find out more!”

Aviko’s new Supercrunch 15mm and Supercrunch 9.5mm Skin-On, for example, give even more variety to operators looking to offer chips with home-made appeal. They feature an innovative coating that means consumers will enjoy a crispier, crunchy texture, while offering practical benefits to operators – it holds heat for up to 15 minutes and has a long shelf-life of up to 18 months which is a major bonus for operators looking to minimise food wastage.
Also in the range are Superlongs and Sweet Potato Fries. Superlongs offer consumers a more premium feel – along with the choice of Original or rustic Skin-On variants - while operators benefit from their longer than average size which provides a greater plate fill, and, therefore, more portions per kilogram. Meanwhile, Aviko’s Sweet Potato Fries ensure operators are meeting the huge consumer demand for this style of chip and use a holistic ‘steam blanching’ production method to deliver a tastier, better quality end-result for the diner.

Dedicated to foodservice and one of the biggest potato processors in the world, Aviko offers a range of chilled and frozen potato specialities made by chefs, for chefs from morning favourites such as Hash Browns and innovative Hash Brown Bites, through to Premium Fries, Mash, Roasties and much more.
