<!--This is INDEX!!!!!!-->
Hartford pupilsEssential Cuisine have once again been working hard with pupils from Hartford High School, turning their hand to soup making, in an effort to educate and inspire the next generation.
Seven pupils from the local school visited Essential Cuisine on 18th June 2013, along with IT Teacher Rob Mainment. Four years ago Rob was tasked with finding a project to captivate the imagination of the school children. As a result, Project Allotment was formed, and has evolved to allow pupils to grow their own vegetables, as well as creating delicious soups, whilst improving and developing their skills.
PupilsOn the menu today were two soups; Garden pea and mint, and Carrot and Coriander, along with a Lemon and Ginger quencher, all prepared by hand by our Essential Chef protégés.
The pupils will be selling their produce at Arley Hall Garden Festival on 22nd and 23rd June, to raise funds for further investment in Project Allotment, which will include purchasing equipment and raised beds.
