Farm Africa’s new recipe book, Recipes for Prosperity, encourages budding home chefs to cook with ingredients that are changing lives, inspired by the charity’s work helping small-scale farmers in eastern Africa to grow food sustainably.
From goat’s cheese to cashew nuts, the versatile ingredients produced by the farmers Farm Africa works with mean the book is full of vegan and vegetarian dinners, delicious weekend bakes and plenty of east African recipes!
From cashew farms on the Kenyan coast, to the lush green hills of Virunga in DR Congo, where coffee growers are building businesses, Farm Africa supports whole communities of farming families to grow and sell produce bursting with flavour.
The charity is sending its new 22-page recipe booklet to everyone who donates £5 or more to the Recipes for Prosperity campaign.
Donations will support Farm Africa’s work helping farmers in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and the DRC boost yields and gain access to markets, while protecting the environment for generations to come.
Farm Africa’s Recipes for Prosperity community combines a passion for good food with the belief that food should do good! Email subscribers receive exciting recipe cards inspired by farmers in eastern Africa, such as muffins made with sweet potatoes like those grown by Ugandan farmer Aloysius.
