High Noon for Chef Teams to Enter Britain’s Best Brigades 2016

Chef teams have until midday on April 25th 2016 to stake their claim and become one of just eight regional representatives in Essential Cuisine’s search for Britain’s Best Brigade.

The Stock People are calling on kitchens who pride themselves on their camaraderie, skill and teamwork to visit www.bestbrigades.co.uk for the chance to scoop the title, £1000 cash and a bespoke menu development masterclass with a leading UK chef.

A panel of judges including Alan Bird, Chef Patron of Bird of Smithfield, Executive Chef of the Lewis Partnership and British Culinary Federation Chairman, Matt Davies, and Essential Cuisine MD, Nigel Crane, are faced with the task of whittling the entries down to a final eight. The best brigades in London, the South East, the South West, the Midlands, the North East, the North West & Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland will then be called upon to bring their paper entries to life in the form of a 60-second video.

The eight videos will then be put to a public vote to decide which should be crowned as Britain’s best.

Nigel Crane, Managing Director for Essential Cuisine, says: “Already we’ve seen some stunning entries into this year’s competition – restaurants, spa resorts, hotels, contract caterers and universities – a fantastic mix. I would urge those who feel they have a team worth shouting about to enter Best Brigades today – this is a chance to represent your region with pride and test your mettle against some seriously good kitchens.”
