Jestic Foodservice Solutions to sponsor Taste of Kent Awards 2023

Jestic Foodservice Solutions is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the prestigious Taste of Kent Awards (TOKA) 2023, supporting both the Casual Dining Experience of the Year and the Sweet Bakery Product of the Year Awards.

Now in its 18th year, TOKA celebrates the tastiest food and drink of Kent. shining a spotlight on the regions excellence in producing fine quality British produce. This year the awards introduced a new format, which meant businesses could self-nominate and enter themselves.

Jestic’s Product Director Michael Eyre, an award-winning chef, will be joining the TOKA judging panel led by eminent food and drink broadcaster and foodie Nigel Barden. For the first time, the product judging will be hosted at Jestic’s test kitchen in Paddock Wood, Kent. Michael explains: The Taste of Kent Awards is a fantastic opportunity for Kent based food and drink businesses to showcase their wonderful produce and hospitality services. As distributors of some of the industry’s finest catering equipment brands, we are delighted to sponsor the awards, and to be able to go that one step further and open up our test kitchen in Paddock Wood for the judging process. We can’t wait to experience first-hand, the high-calibre of entries expected this year, and we’re excited to be part of the award programme.”

The judging will take place between April and May, with the finalists announced at the end of May. The awards ceremony will take place at the University of Kent on the 15th of June and new for 2023 it will be paired with a Taste of Kent Festival on the same day. The festival is open to the public, and they will be able to sample and buy the finalists delicious food and drink products.
