I’m normally attached to my desk, in a role as Brand Manager, which sees me undertake “all things marketing.” But for one day only, I was let out of the office to have a day with Howard, our Key Account Manager.
We started bright and early (well we were early but not sure how bright we were!)
Howard drove us down to Birmingham, and as we were there in good time, we popped into a local supermarket for a well deserved cup of tea (and we won’t mention the chocolate brownie Howard, secret’s safe with me!)
Throughout the day, we visited chefs, getting to know their brigades, and tasting the products with them there and then.
It was great to see what life is like for our sales team “out on the road”, getting into the kitchen and meeting customers face to face.
All the chefs were really welcoming and keen to taste test against their current brand – once they’d tried, they were surprised at how they’d not discovered us before now!
On our travels, we also spread the word on Britain’s Best Brigades, encouraging teams to tell us why they are the best, where they could with the title and £1000 towards a team night out.
But the day soon ended, and now I’m back at my desk, and Howard is still smiling (at least I think that’s a smile!)
Thank you for taking me on your adventure Howard!
