Major excel once again in awards ceremony

Compered by BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine, Major International were nominated and shortlisted for two awards, Brand Supplier of the Year and Business Relationship of the Year.
Beating the likes of Heinz Foodservice, Kellogs and Unilever to take the winning trophy in the ‘Business Relationship’ of the Year category, Major were thrilled with the result. “We really do value our relationship with the Country Range Foodservice Group and have worked closely with them for over 20 years now.  We’re absolutely delighted to receive this award due to the hard work we’ve put in and we intend to continue our close working relationship with the group long into the future.   At this stage we would also like to congratulate Coral Rose for becoming the New Managing Director of Country Range Group and my special heartfelt thanks goes to Troy Mckee for helping us building a joint business culminating in this award.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my own team at Major for really making it happen and coming together in a joint effort.  We wouldn’t have been able to do it without each and every one of them” comments David Bryant, Managing Director of Major International.
The criteria given by the Country Range group for the Business Relationship award was;  The company who made a significant effort to make a positive contribution to a group business.  They took into consideration many things but in particular the proactive attitude from Major and the ability to make key decisions and resolve queries and issues were what led them to victory.

Over 40 different suppliers attended the special evening to mark Country Range’s 21st Anniversary and a unique opportunity to meet the Principals and Directors of all 16 Members was provided followed by a supplier briefing on the future plans for Country Range Group.

Major are looking forward to seeing what the coming 12 months has in store for the group and wish them a happy and successful and 2014.
